This hotel is situated near in the mountains with a brook behind it, a place to light campfires, two pools (one outside and one an indoor pool) and a lodge with a big fireplace .The grounds are well kept and beautiful. It is not a fancy place, but we found it to be quiet and comfortable and very clean. The beds are comfortable . The staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is waffles and cereal and great coffee.(yes, it is full of carbs, you complainers. Stay someplace more expensive if you want more protein) There is a games room for kids with video game machines. It is only a 10 min drive to Littleton which has shopping and lots of places to eat, including a 99 restaurant.
The a/c was very loud, but worked ok. The place is a little outdated with the bathroom sink outside the bathroom -no tub.
authentic outdoorsy feel; beautiful landscape
rooms need an overhaul/facelift; rooms felt very outdated (panel walls, old furniture, thin, scratchy towels). Breakfast room had no lights on, food was all carbs, no attendant present, only one table to sit at. Staff wasn't exactly friendly.
Spacious and cleannes room ,pure air , scenic place.
Very basic breakfeast and no cellular signal with Nextel
Very unique lodge. Perfect for a ski trip, however it was very nice to stay in even during June. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.
The price was good and it was in a beautiful setting.
Couldn't connect to internet. Breakfast could have done with some hot water and tea bags.
There was a very cozy lodge that served a make it yourself breakfast in the morning.
'The bathroom was the size of a phone booth
The rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable enough. The location is fantastic and the little town of Franconia is very cute. The hotel's surrounding gardens are very pretty as well. We had an issue with our wi fi and the staff worked quickly to fix it.
The rooms could be updated and more bedding is needed in the colder months.
D.I.Y. waffle maker for the included continental breakfast.
Blind in the bathroom stuck open giving no privacy. Staff didn't know the opening hours of the only store in town 1 mile away. Décor was tired but clean.
Staff went out of their way to try to be helpful and meet special requests.
The dining room was very cold. Decor was out of date and rennovations would be appropriate. Hotel did not seem to have been aware of our reservation through booking, com or hadn't gotten around to processing it. But they were able to give us a room.
Wifi didn't work - and the host blamed it on the weather. Talked to other guests who had stayed there 3 yrs ago, and the wifi didn't work then either! Room was one of the cheapest in the area (according to Booked.net) but still not worth the price. Breakfast selection was poor
The indoor pool
We wanted to get away from it all.The housekeeping people were very rude to my husband because we didnt want maid service.
The grounds and the one staff person
They advertise a game room but the games were not operable
The kids enjoyed the 2 pools. The owner was very friendly and helpfull.
For the breakfast, the waffles were good, but if you expect a huge breakfast, you'll be disappointed.
I was actually very disappointed when I received a call asking me if my kids were crying or jumping to keep it down because my next door neighborhood complained. I never had that problem before and it was a Saturday around 9. I will never stay at this motel again.
Clean modern, and an excellent value.
Although breakfast was supposed to be included, it was not. Management said there were not enough customers to make it feasable. (So they should have given me a discount, or offered a discount coupon at a local restaurant). Also, somewhat of a language barrier in conversing with the Asian desk help.
